Research Centre of History and Culture of Turkic Peoples

The Centre consists of two departments – the Department of Historical Sciences and the Department of Philological Sciences, and is focused on a wide range of activities aimed at

• archaeological surveys, excavations, and office studies of artifacts;

• interdisciplinary study of material and spiritual culture and history of ancient and medieval Turkic peoples;

• comparative historical study of Turkic languages;

• revealing, copying, and decoding Old Turkic runic inscriptions;

• comparative study of the folklore heritage of Turkic peoples of Eurasia;

• expert work and rescue excavations;

• work in archives and museums, and others.
